Remarks & Notes 
A broadside view of the first Class 15E built for Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), as it sits on the transverser at The UCW Partnership factory. The recessed roof section is necessary to accommodate the pantograph within the height restrictions specified by TFR. Photo taken with permission on a factory visit by the Railway Society of Southern Africa.

South African AC electric locomotives

South Africa has a relatively small AC network. Some lines are energised at 25kv - others are 50kv. I have also included the dual voltage 14E & 19E.
