A chance to get a "sitting duck" shot of the F9 Zephyr power presented itself at Rifle when the westbound went about its depot duties in September 1981 - the sun even came out!

Rio Grande Zephyr Album created by member Ellis Simon	Album Views: 5,200
A remnant of the original California Zephyr, this train offered great dining and many as five Vista-Dome cars for viewing the Rocky Mountain Scenery. It was the last train to be replaced by Amtrak.
