VIA 75 overtakes GO 463 into the sunset approaching Oakville Station. If there's anything attractive about these ugly mutts it's the reflective nature of their metallic blue and gold paint, which changes apparent color with the angle of the sun. Here with the sun just above the horizon it appears as rich, dark indigo and orange-gold. Higher lighting makes it more like azure and yellow. Of course, repainted units are a whole different ball game as they can't seem to replicate the original paint exactly. There's at least one unit out there (917) that actually looks more green than blue. |
