Remarks & Notes
An E60CH on its last legs helps out a younger AEM7 "meatball" with a Northeast Direct train. The older unit was probably a rescue add on at Philly. At this point in time, the E60CHs were 'protection' power on the Northeast Corridor. In this case, the meatball's pans are down. E60CH #602 was originally #975 when delivered by GE in March of 1976. While we are in tiny Harrison the skyline in the background is that of Newark NJ, across the Passaic River.

The stretch of the Northeast Corridor between the Hudson and Delaware Rivers is probably the busiest line in the entire Amtrak system.
