Remarks & Notes 
Five units and 11 freight cars of CV freight 491 derailed on a curve near Sharon on section of washed out track. The cause was a beaver dam that burst during a heavy rainfall. The crew survived but the line was not open to traffic for three days. 5809 was the second unit and was rebuilt.
