| The Edgar Thompson Works' close proximity to the Pittsburgh Line is not by chance. When Andrew Carnegie selected the site in 1873, one of the biggest selling points was that the plot of land was bordered by B&O to the south and, more importantly Carnegie's former employer, the PRR to the north. |
