| One of the FM's that show the Raymond Loewy design touches including the "half-moon" shaped window panes is spotted on a track at North Bergen roundhouse. The curved window panes were eliminated from later models to reduce costs. NYC had 12 of these, #'s 7000-7012. Only 3 of 299 H16-44s produced in total are left today. (source: Wikipedia) |
