Giving equal time to the NYC fans on rp.net, here are some of John's views from a trip to the North Bergen engine facility of the NYC in April of '53, which is devoid of any evidence of steam at this time. NYC couldn't get rid of steam soon enough, thanks in no small part to an unsympathetic executive, Mr. Alfred E. Perlman, who had all the Hudsons and Niagras scrapped by '56.
