The fifty diminutive 'Terriers' of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway have a fascinating and convoluted history. Examples of the class, introduced in 1872, worked for the GWR, L&SWR the War Department, the Isle of Wight Central Rly, the Edge Hill Light Rly and the Weston, Clevedon & Portishead Rly. Several soldiered on with BR until November 1963 and no less than ten survive in preservation. Here amidst the autumn gold is 32678 from 1880.
