On a very wet day back in 1980. 4472 Flying Scotsman climbs Miles Platting Bank out of Manchester Victoria. It went to turn on the triangle at Miles Platting so as to cbe facing the right way to head for Liverpool to work a main special train from there. The graffiti hardly enhances the unsalubrious local environment!
