In Southern Pacific tradition, E9(A) #6051 is displaying its train number in the boards (for #99, the Coast Daylight). Shown here at the LAUPT 50th Anniversary, it was one of an order of nine E9(A)s that the eSPee received from EMD in 12/1954. It is the only surviving one. I was "railfanning" with some non-railfan friends this day, and was rushed through, so I couldn't wait for clear shots. Nearly 20 years later, however, I am happy to have the people in the pics.
