Remarks & Notes
Self-portrait of the young railfan reflected in the broken drumhead -- The Capitol Limited was the B&O's premiere train for almost 48 years, beginning May 12, 1923 running from NYC to Chicago. On September 1, 1926 it became a Jersey City to Chicago train. On April 26, 1958 it was cut back to Washington DC to Chicago. It's last run was April 29, 1971, although ten years later Amtrak began their own Capitol Limited. This was one of three different drumhead designs the B&O train carried.
