Remarks & Notes 
The Coast Daylight racing through Newhall Yard with FP7 #6452 on the point. At this date, long haul passenger train numbers were still displayed on the locomotive. #6452 would later be destroyed in an accident and never conveyed to Amtrak. On the left Newhall Tower and below it, the switchmen's shanty, now all gone.
