On a return trip from Sandpatch, I diverted briefly to the Magnolia Bridge (East side of Tunnnel Hill).
Tell-tale signs of fall are beginning to take shape as brown leaves litter the calm waters and an ever-so-slight tinting of yellow is beginning to show on the West Virginia countryside. The various denizens of the upper Potomac River are very active as they feed on wayward insects that loiter too close to the surface.
Amongst all this nature, man in the form of a freight train, makes his presence known as it too, briefly visits the Magnolia Cutoff.
