| The engineer throtles up and a cloud of smoke rises as the OCS begins its climb out of the Potomac River Valley at Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Behind the OCS, to the right, is the Rumsey Monument in honor of James Rumsey, who tested the first steam powered boat near here in 1787. |
