Remarks & Notes |
A CSX hoppes sits since last year with one coal shaker on it and one beside it on the adjacent track. The strings of cars are fed into the building and the shaker is lifted to the top of the car while the coal is drained from the lower bay doors onto a belt that gets the coal to the kiln that is used in making the cement slurry. The local coal burning power plant actually flips the entire car after each one is unhitched which is done throughout the year in the coldest months also where this system needs warmer weather. |
