Night In New Haven. Making up the power for an overnight work train in the Parcel G Yard in New Haven, Connecticut, an Amtrak crew approaches AMTK 740 (GP38-3, Phase VII) with AMTK 537 (MP15AC) on Thursday, April 18, 2024. This yard is used to stage Amtrak power for various assignments on both the Northeast Corridor and Springfield line, and at any time, one can see almost any kind of unit on the Amtrak roster, both diesel and electric.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
